DOCKLANDS IS SET FOR AN ACTION-PACKED WEEKEND!

We are set to have one of the busiest weekends in Docklands! The precinct will be hosting three major events - The Melbourne Boat Show, Ice Hockey Australia National Championships, and World Supercross Australian Grand Prix, which will all overlap between 20 to 23 October. These events provide great support for local businesses as well as bring confidence to the community which is positively supported by local residents.

After a three-year hiatus, the Melbourne Boat Show is back with its new location on the NewQuay promenade after moving from Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. There will be waterfront boat displays and trials from over sixty exhibitors, a boaters marketplace, top-class musical entertainment, fantastic boating and fishing stage presentations, seafood cooking, Boating Hub for people new to boating, boating tourism information, an exciting kids zone, Tall Ships, Marine Jobs marquee, great prize opportunities, and much more.

Two major ice hockey tournaments will also attract thousands of visitors – with the Jim Brown men’s national championship and the women’s national championship being held from October 18 to 21 and October 20 to 23, respectively. “These players are the best of the best this country has to offer, and we are so excited to host them in Melbourne,” president of Ice Hockey Victoria Maureen Black said.
