STEAM TUG “WATTLE” RESTORATION PROJECT HERE IN DOCKLANDS
STEAM TUG “WATTLE” RESTORATION PROJECT HERE IN DOCKLANDS

Every year around this time we start canvassing questions from sellers and buyers as to what generally happens in our market in the lead-up to Christmas and into early January. The good news is there is not a great deal of difference in interest and transactions compared to the leafy suburbs, which are typically driven by the traditional Auction calendar and “Super Saturdays”.

When it comes to vertical living aka apartments, it naturally depends on the level number and quality of apartments we have on offer. Buyers are generally searching online and as we all know online is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therefore, our interest levels are consistent thus allowing us to sell over 200 properties a year every month of the year.

So if you’re thinking that you may have left it too late to buy or sell, there is still time! This week alone, we will be launching 6 new apartments across the CBD/Docklands/Port Melbourne areas. We have also successfully sold 12 properties so far this month and a number of others are currently negotiating - most with multiple buyers/offers.

This weekend is the traditional pseudo long weekend taking advantage of the Melbourne Cup Tuesday and while in some cases inspection numbers may be quieter, overall the “quality” vs the “quantity” is noticeable. Active buyers may still go away but be assured they will be out inspecting properties for sale and then head away, this is generally always the case.

I hope everyone has a fantastic mini-break and perhaps the annual flutter on Tuesday.
