MARKET UPDATE FROM OUR SALES MANAGER
MARKET UPDATE FROM OUR SALES MANAGER

While we have remained in lockdown over the past month, it’s uplifting to see the number of eager buyers out there waiting for restrictions to ease. In the past month alone, we’ve had over 85,000 listing views on realestate.com.au and 1,600 buyer enquiries locally and from across the globe that has reached out to chat to one of our agents.

Even though restrictions still remain the same, with no buyer inspections via open home or private appointment allowed, these numbers clearly show that buyers are eager to lock in their next property. With current government predictions, we’re hoping to resume our inspections from 23 September.

Whilst people may say there is no substitute for a physical property inspection, we have been quick to adapt. On top of our virtual tours and video tours, we have also incorporated Face-Time inspections that have been welcomed with a fantastic response so far.

The concept works around the owners walking around their property and recording, while our sales agents narrate over the zoom call. It not only gives buyers a real-time tour of properties, but we’re also able to abide by current restriction rules. At the conclusion of the tour, we invite buyers to join a zoom call for any follow-up questions. A truly fantastic initiative by Lynn Lum and since being implemented by the team, we’ve seen a number of sales executed since its inception.

Like everyone, we all want to come out of these lockdowns very soon and get back to normality but until then, we continue to experiment and innovate to do the best we can for our clients and the community. We love Docklands and it's times like this when it’s more important than ever that we come together and support each other. As much as we love Docklands, we also love our coffee! That’s why over the next few weeks we will be supporting local businesses with “Coffee on Lucas!”. Pop by Shall We Coffee this Friday, 10th September from 9am where the next 100 coffees will be on us. We hope this brightens up your day and puts a spring in your step!

In other news, the much-loved Melbourne Star will close after 15 years in operation. Not only has it been an iconic fixture in our skylines but the team at Melbourne Star has also been an integral part of our Docklands community. It is truly with a heavy heart to see them close and we wish Nicole and her amazing team all the best.
