COMMUNITY MOMENTS IN DOCKLANDS

Docklands Social Run

The first Docklands Social Run on 1 May saw a phenomenal turnout, with more than 30 locals, clients, and community members coming together for an early morning run around NewQuay. What started as a simple idea to encourage connection and healthier routines quickly turned into a vibrant community event filled with energy, conversation, and plenty of smiles. Led by Lucas Real Estate in partnership with Habitat Mind Body, Shall We Coffee, The District Docklands and Quest NewQuay, the morning perfectly captured what Docklands is all about — community, connection, and showing up for one another.

With such a strong response to the first event, the Docklands Social Run will continue on the first Friday of every month through until October 2026. Open to all fitness levels, the free community run includes a guided warm-up, a relaxed 5km waterfront loop, and complimentary coffee at Shall We Coffee afterwards. Whether you are looking to build healthier habits, meet new people, or simply start your Friday morning differently, we would love to see more members of the Docklands community join us at the upcoming runs.

Popcorn, Conversations & Connection

At Lucas, we know real estate is about more than property, it is about the people behind every conversation, relationship, and milestone. To thank the clients who continue to support us, we recently hosted a Client Appreciation Movie Night at HOYTS, The District Docklands. From pre-movie drinks and dinner to relaxed conversations throughout the evening, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our clients outside the usual day-to-day of real estate. In a fast-paced industry, we believe creating genuine moments like these is what helps build long-term relationships founded on trust, communication, and a truly personalised experience.

Docklands Market Days Return

Docklands continues to grow as a vibrant community destination, with the return of the monthly Docklands Waterfront Farmers’ Market bringing even more life to the waterfront. Held along Harbour Esplanade on the third Sunday of each month, the market showcases some of Victoria’s best growers, makers, seafood vendors and local producers, creating a lively atmosphere filled with fresh produce, great food and family-friendly activities. From waterfront dining and live entertainment to supporting local businesses and farmers, the market is another example of the community-focused experiences helping shape Docklands into one of Melbourne’s most connected and evolving neighbourhoods.
