As the financial year draws to an end, we celebrate an incredible achievement in successfully selling over 200 properties around Melbourne's CBD in the last 12 months.

 

Whilst every one of the 200 sales has a story, I thought it would be nice to reflect on some of our team's incredible individual sales efforts that stood out for me.

 

Cherie Tomkins

Cherie recently sold a stunning apartment in Clarendon Street South Melbourne for just under $1,500,000. That doesn’t sound too remarkable right? Well, the buyer lives overseas, had never seen the property and had not even met Cherie in person. The buyer gave Cherie a brief, she researched meticulously, conducted face-time inspections with the buyer multiple times and they bought it! A truly superb effort.

 

Ricky Li

Ricky had been in contact with an overseas owner who had made the decision they were not returning to Australia and therefore wanted to sell their asset. They had not sold before and were completely new to the process. Ricky guided them through their options, suggested they professionally style the property, and arranged a VIP night which was well attended. He hit the phones hard and identified 5 key buyers. In the end, after some competition, he managed to bring to a close the sale well above the vendors' (and even his own) expectations.    

 

Serena Su

Over the Christmas period, an owner Serena was working with (after an unsuccessful campaign with another agency) had concerns that selling meant another long and drawn-out process with no guarantee of a successful result. With her calm and professional approach, the owner accepted her advice. The property went online on a Wednesday with the first open the following Saturday. A total of 16 groups inspected the property, and we received four written offers. The property was sold within 5 days well above everyone’s expectations – to a buyer that had been looking for many months for “the one”.

 

Cary Thornton

No one has made more sales in Docklands over $2,000,000 in the last 12 months! His most pleasing sale was in a development called “Dock 5”. This breathtaking apartment had been on the market with two other agencies before they engaged Cary – in this instance, 3rd time lucky. Cary tirelessly reached out to his platinum clients, found the buyer and successfully negotiated the second-highest sale price in the building. A truly remarkable effort and demonstrates the strength of an agent with decade-plus experience to match a buyer to a property of that level.

 

Lynn Lum

Lynn successfully sold an apartment to a lovely couple in Southbank in April 2021, this was their first home and one they planned to live in for a few years. Fast forward 12 months and with the arrival of a newborn pending and a new career change, the decision to sell and buy bigger was fast-tracked. Lynn received the call to sell for them because they remembered the care and patience shown as new buyers and wanted that same care bestowed now as sellers for the first time. Within 4 weeks they had sold for a fantastic price, purchased a new family home and Lynn is looking forward to the housewarming!

 

Tom Tregonning

Tom worked with a young family who decided to sell up and move to QLD to start fresh. The owners worked from home and home-schooled two very energetic young sons during the selling period. Tom's care and professionalism shone with navigating inspections while respecting a very busy apartment! This was a testament to engaging an agent that cares and achieved a record price for that particular floorplan within 10 days from going to market.

 

There are countless more examples where our agents and the entire team have gone above and beyond – our Property Management team is a testament to this too.
